About us
CHESTER ZOO is the UK’s favourite zoo as well as an international conservation charity. Home to over 30,000 animals and more than 500 different species, including some of the most endangered species on the planet! With more than 2 million visitors every year, the zoo is an all-year round favourite attraction for all ages.
As a registered charity we need your support to raise funds for the care and conservation of our animals, and other endangered species across the globe. We are a key part of 139 international conservation projects, from helping villagers in Assam resolve their problems with elephants ruining their crops and livelihoods, to helping protect the tiny harvest mouse on our doorstep in Cheshire.
We’re always working to give our animals the very best care and to protect the habitats they depend on, helping to secure a future for wildlife for generations to come. But we can’t do it alone. By setting up your own fundraising page and supporting Chester Zoo, you can play a direct role in our conservation work, helping to protect endangered species, restore habitats and prevent extinction. Every effort, big or small, truly makes a difference.
